Gig Poster & Album Cover
The Problem:
In this project, I am working to communicate the sound, feeling, and overall vibe of the artist Bruno Major’s album; titled To Let a Good Thing Die. Through various merchandise pieces, I communicate the album's essence while also staying true to who Bruno Major is as an artist.
The Solution:
I began this project as a play with physical and digital materials to emulate both the music and the artist. Creating lots and lots of possible iterations that fit with Major’s music style and the confessional breakup story from the album. Below are pictured a few snapshots of my workspace and the amount of work I created before landing on the final design. The final designs consists of a set of two gig posters. An album cover and two T-shirt designs. Each of the designs are unique in its own way but emulates Burno Major’s chill, modern sound with folk and soul influence. Continuing to tell the story of love and loss portrayed in the album. While speaking to a larger visual identity for Major as an artist.
Above are a few photos of my workspace for the posters (although the rest of the assets files look similar) showing the ideation processes I worked through to get to the final designs.
